What should be the Vastu for the worship home?

Prayer, spiritual practice, havan and puja play an important role in the world. The teachings of God, in every way, bring the soul closer to self-realization and establish peace in the world. During our lifetime, we face many problems ranging from financial issues to health and relationship issues. When a problem arises, every individual can think of God and pray to Him for a solution.

Similarly, for the well-being and auspiciousness of the house, a prayer room is necessary where all the family members can pray and meditate. In the puja room, idols of God are placed with flowers, lights, candles, and diyas which bring positivity and create a sacred atmosphere. In earlier times, there used to be a large room in the house where all the deities and idols were kept, but nowadays people prefer a small area for a temple where they can easily take care of it.

Do you know the proper way to keep idols in a puja room? Have you heard about the correct direction and location for constructing a puja room? These are some things that are believed to keep your home positive and attractive.

Certainly, nobody wants to live with bad luck. So, according to Vastu, learn where the puja room should be located in your home and pay attention to these things. You just need to keep a few small things in mind so that you can easily make your puja room better.

Location for Puja Room: The best direction for a puja room is north, east, or northeast. The main reason behind these directions is that the sun rises from the east and north, and its rays directly enter the room, which is considered auspicious and receives blessings from Lord Surya (Sun). These directions are considered peaceful and positive, which are suitable for meditation and prayer.

The Right Place for a Room: Many people believe that the puja room should be on the first floor or in some other convenient location. However, according to Vastu Shastra, the right place for a room is on the ground floor, not in the basement or on the first floor. The basement is considered a dark place, and having a puja room in the dark is not a good option.

Do not build a temple at this location: These days, it is a trend to have a small temple instead of building a big one in the house. Vastu suggests avoiding any place near the bedroom, kitchen, or bathroom for a temple. It is better to keep the temple in a room that is located away from these areas. You can keep a temple in a room that faces the north direction.

Distance from the wall: All idols should be placed at least one inch away from the wall. This allows for better airflow, and positive energy from water, incense, and the room itself can circulate in all directions of the room.

Placement of candles and lamps: Candles and lamps are lit in the prayer room so that the deities can be invoked and prayers can be offered to them in a clear and distinct manner. According to Vastu, the lamp should be placed in front of the idols.

Save the prayer room from these things: Avoid bells, pictures of deceased persons, pictures of negative wars, torn and broken pieces, dry flowers, dull paintings, fighting lamps, and any object that emits negative energy in the room.
